The Folk Tunes music group is open for new members. Come and learn to play folk tunes from the British isles or beyond at a slow and steady pace in order to be able to take part at folk sessions in pubs or folk festivals. Any folk type instrument welcome – e.g. melodeon, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar, tin whistle, recorder, concertina etc. We currently meet at a member's house in Marks Tey, normally alternate Wednesday afternoons throughout the year.
Members need to have the ability to play folk tunes on an instrument either using sheet music, tab of some sort or by ear. Suggestions as to repertoire welcome.
Colchester and Stanway U3A members can get more information by clicking on the above link to email the Group Coordinator .
